The Brief
Bridge Properties' Eden Point development needed bringing up to date. While the existing cooling systems were working, they weren't working well. And they didn't look the part.
In order to attract new tenants to their unique South Manchester office space, Bridge Properties would need to remodel and refurbish Eden Point - removing a suspended ceiling and improving the look of the property.
If that improved look also included improved efficiency of the office's cooling systems, so much the better.

Ongoing maintenance contract

Ducted fan coil units across three floors. Installation of chiller systems. 12 month maintenance plan
The Solution
Bridge Properties' Paul McCann knew exactly what he needed, as you'd expect from someone with experience in property management and development: "A lot of our existing kit needed to change. It was more a cosmetic issue than a performance one, but what we had really wasn't fit for purpose. We needed to strip out what was there and replace it with new, rigid pipework."
And where would Paul turn to get exactly what he needed, He already knew: "We'd used K2 before, following a glowing word-of-mouth recommendation back in 2010. We've continued to use them ever since."
The Result
Improved cosmetics, improved performance.
New, clean pipework has really added to Eden Point's contemporary feel and turned it into an attractive prospect for businesses interested in an office upgrade. But it's not an improvement that's just skin deep.
Rigid pipework has also improved the sound qualities of the offices, which combines with the increased efficiency and effectiveness of the cooling units to create a far more pleasant working environment.
