The Brief
A long-term service and maintenance client, KBS decided they wanted to install some additional units in their meeting rooms.
Owners of a new-build three-story office building since 2016, KBS had originally installed air conditioning in just the communal areas. The meeting rooms had been fitted with regular heating.
Great when you wanted the offices warm, but when staff needed them a bit cooler in the summer it didn't work very well at all - something the KBS team quickly found out when the sun shone through the windows and everyone sat there overheating.

Installation of new air conditioning into a meeting room, along with ongoing maintenance

The Solution
Unhappy with the workmanship of the original AC installation provider, KBS director Terry Whatmough had already turned to K2 as their maintenance partner. "Scott came over, we had a chat, we got on very well and we've used them ever since", says Terry.
It made perfect sense for us to install the new meeting room air conditioning. Says Terry, "We've got to know the engineering team really well and they've got to know us and the building. It just makes it easy."

The Result
A double win. Firstly, an ongoing service and maintenance contract means the KBS system is always properly looked after, and if there is ever an issue then a K2 engineer pops in to sort it out.
Secondly, five beautifully comfortable, temperature-controlled offices. Snug in the winter, fresh and cool in the summer.
